It is the club’s responsibility to provide a duty of care to all its members in all matters relating to health and safety and has therefore become incumbent upon the club to provide a safety brief.
Members Safety Brief
- If you discover a fire
Raise the alarm.
Call the Fire Brigade by dialling 999.
Leave the building and green by the nearest exit.
Report to the assembly point (Top of the main entrance steps to the green), Assembly Point signage in place.
Do not stop to collect personal belongings.
Do not return to the building or green until authorised to do so.
The clubhouse hosts both a water/gas and CO2 fire extinguisher.
FIRE ACTION SIGNAGE POSTED ON CLUB HOUSE DOORS - First Aid
A fully supplied First Aid box is located inside the clubhouse with signage indicating its location. - An Accident Report Book is positioned with the First Aid Box. “Please note”, all incidents/accidents must be recorded and completed, no matter how small. Slips, trips and falls being the most common incident/accident.
- The nearest portable defibrillator is located on the Fraser Theatre wall facing the green. Code details to obtain the defibrillator are clearly visible and instructions for its use are displayed on the casing. 999 must be called immediately.
- Risk Assessments
An up-to-date full risk assessment has been carried out and is displayed in the clubhouse. Any member who identifies a further hazard or risk must notify the club/league secretary so that the hazard/risk can be investigated by the club risk assessor and addressed without delay. - Awareness
It is important to remember that you are not only responsible for your own health and safety but also, of all you come into contact with, including visitors, that way the risks, likelihood, consequences and liabilities can be reduced.
